Summer In Waterloo Region

With the heat sweltering and the sun oft shining, it looks like summer is finally here in KW! With school soon to be out and temperatures up, it’s time to see what to do in Waterloo these warm months.

Waterloo Region is blessed with many beautiful parks and lots of stunning nature, so try visiting places like Waterloo or Victoria park to soak up the sunshine and, for those with children, visit the splash pads. St. Jacobs farmers market is also bustling this time of year, so be sure to stop by on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays for delicious produce and other local goods.

During the warmer months the region also has an influx of festivals and events; Such as the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival June 24-25th,  KW Ribfest & Craft Beer Show July 14-16th, and the classic Waterloo Busker Carnival August 24-27th. Each of these events offer delicious food and fun for all ages!

For those who prefer solo or even just more low-key activities, there's no shortage of those either in KW! For the lone outdoorsman, Waterloo Region is full of fun geocaches hidden about just waiting to be found. For those who drive, check out Guelph’s Mustang Drive-In and catch a film in the comfort of your own car.

Waterloo Region is rich with activities this summer for those of all ages and tastes, so be sure to get out and enjoy all that KW has to offer!
