KW Farmers' Markets

Hallelujah, it’s finally summer! With less rain and warmth galore, it’s time to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. One of the perfect ways to get out and enjoy your sunny weekends is checking out the region's many farmers' markets. Let’s look at some standouts of the region!

For those looking for something year round rather than Summer exclusive, check out each city’s market; Cambridge, Kitchener, and St. Jacobs. Kitchener’s Saturday market runs year round. Offering a variety of produce, baked goods, and more throughout the year, don’t forget to check out the Food Hall vendors and artisans on the second floor! In the summer months, they also add their Midweek Market on Wednesdays to the roster! St. Jacobs market, open Thursdays and Saturdays, is an icon of the region. With both an indoor and outdoor venue, there’s little you can’t find for sale. Don’t forget to check out their website to find a myriad of events throughout the year! The Cambridge Farmers Market website offers a handy guide to what's in season; This month check out the lettuce, carrots, radish, and more. On Saturday’s as well, it’s serves as a great spot for a weekend jaunt.

With Summer here, check out the many seasonal markets, such as the Preston Towne Market or Elmira market. Each seasonal market offers a variety of vendors and produce for you to browse. Once July arrives, as does the Uptown Night Market. Thursday nights at the WPL, check out the performers and local treats!

Summer in the KW region means an abundance of markets and, as such, an abundance of local produce and artisan products for you to browse and explore!
