2024 Trend Predictions

With 2023 finally coming to a close and 2024 mere weeks away, let’s take a look at some interior design trend predictions for the new year! This past year was all about maximalism, bold lighting, and darker interiors, so let’s see what's up next!

 

We think that the rise of maximalism is here to stay, with minimalism in the past. That said, we think sustainability and naturalism is going to pop up as a major trend. Natural materials such as wood and stone, lush greenery and an abundance of plants and succulents, and a connection with nature both inside and outside the home. Perhaps macrame will come back too, as hanging planters will almost certainly be a popular design fixture. 

 

With people becoming bolder and bolder in their decor choices, we think statement walls are here to stay and bold tile choices will be climbing up the popularity ranks. Bright, rich coloured bathroom floors, fun patterned backsplashes, and unexpected combos and patterns are looking to be the newest fad.

 

Finally, we think the new colours of the year will be rich, deep, bold ones, such as a deep eggplant or evergreen. These colours add depth to a home, making a space seem more luxurious and pair well with neutrals. Try adding these pops of colour to your spaces with throw blankets, pillow covers, or ottomans to join in!
